The Gophers are seeded fourth in the regional and take on host Cal State-Fullerton on Friday. The other teams in the double-elimination regional are Stanford and New Mexico, with the survivor headed to the super regionals.
The Gophers are just 30-28, but they rebounded from a dismal 4-13 start to win the Big Ten regular season and postseason championships to earn the league's automatic berth to the national tournament. Cal State-Fullerton is 41-15, with 21 wins in their last 23 games. This is the Titans' 19 straight trip to the NCAA baseball tournament.
