MINNEAPOLIS - All-Star guard Seimone Augustus has been cleared to play again, nearly a year after undergoing reconstructive knee surgery. Her comeback was delayed when she had abdominal surgery last month to remove three non-cancerous fibroids.
The Lynx need something to help turn around their season. Going into tomorrow night's game at Phoenix, the Lynx have a disappointing two-and-seven record after absorbing a 38-point home loss to Indiana on Sunday.
Augustus is entering her fifth season with the Lynx, who selected her with the number one overall choice in the 2006 WNBA Draft. She's played in the All-Star Game twice, and helped the U.S. win the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing
