PRESCOTT--Brian Allen came from a “green” family.

“We are environmentalists at heart,” he said. “We loved being outdoors.”

And how the future is shaping up scares him.

“The more we rely on dirty energy such as coal, the less we’ll have of the outdoors,” he said. “If we go with renewable energy, the better off we are going to be down the line.”

Allen is trying to do his part, as he recently launched All Energy Solar, a business specializing in solar energy systems for customers.

The business is located at 121 Orange St., in Prescott, which most people also know as Great Rivers Printing. Great Rivers owner Rick Allen is Brian’s father.
