SHEBOYGAN - A 6-7 forward from Sheboygan Lutheran High School has committed to play for Wisconsin two years from now.
Sam Dekker received a scholarship offer on Monday, and he verbally accepted it yesterday. Dekker averaged 26 points and seven rebounds a game as a sophomore at Sheboygan Lutheran, and he’s playing AAU ball this summer.
His AAU coach, Ritchie Davis, said Badgers’ coach Bo Ryan watched Dekker for five minutes and decided he wanted him. Davis said Dekker has grown by four-inches since last spring. He turned 16 in May.
Wisconsin also offered a scholarship to incoming sophomore Brandon Koening of La Crosse Aquinas
