Amanda Elaine Makis of Shakopee, Minn., and Nathan Dean Mewes of Red Wing (originally from Ellsworth) announce their engagement.
Amanda is the daughter of David and Wanda Makis of Shakopee. She received her master’s degree from North Dakota State University in architecture. She is currently employed at JC Penney’s.
Nathan is the son of Dean and Eileen Mewes of Ellsworth. He is a graduate of Ellsworth High School. He is currently working for Royalty Homes in Red Wing.
The wedding has been set for Aug. 15, 2010, in Menomonie.
