New Ellsworth veterinarian makes career of interest in animals

The newest veterinarian at Pierce Veterinary Clinic really isn’t new to the clinic at all.
Jennifer Belz, DVM, mentored with owner Frank During, DVM, and Lisa Hansen, DVM, when she was an undergraduate student at UW-River Falls. Belz said Wednesday, although she joined the clinic as a veterinarian this spring, their association dates to the early 2000s and continued while she was in veterinary school.
“I did ride-alongs with them,” she said.
