Volunteers for school ‘action teams’ sought

Community involvement is a big part of the Ellsworth School District’s strategic planning initiative.
Organizers are seeking volunteers from the community to serve on five “action teams” being formed as part of the initiative. Each team will represent one of five strategies determined by a group of 24 staff and community members and students during a planning session which was held in April, according to Superintendent Barry Cain.
“We need a minimum of 15 people on each team,” Cain said Thursday, indicating all district residents are to receive a mailing about the volunteer recruitment Friday or Saturday, July 9 or 10. He asked district residents willing to serve to complete the form attached to the mailing and send it back to him at 300 Hillcrest St., Ellsworth, WI 54011 or e-mail him at email@example.com as soon as possible.
