Bucks sign Salmons
Wisconsin Sports- Bucks sign Salmons as latest deal in big offseason.
MILWAUKEE - The NBA focus may be on LeBron James and the big spending clubs going after free agent superstars, but all the action is in Milwaukee.
The latest Bucks deal has the team signing free agent guard John Salmons to a five-year, 40 million dollar contract. The deal doesn't become official until next Thursday. Salmons came to the Bucks in a trade from Chicago. He average 19-point-9 points per game. While he, Brandon Jennings and Andrew Bogut were in the lineup together, Milwaukee won 18 of 23 contests.
Boguts injury ended hopes for a big post season. The day before Milwaukee signed Salmons, the team announced it had wrapped up a 32 million dollar deal with free agent power forward Drew Gooden.
