PHOENIX - Miguel Montero hit the tie-breaking homer off Chris Capuano in the eighth inning, sending Arizona to a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Sam Demel, who notched his first major league win on Monday, picked up his first career save despite a shaky ninth inning. Rickie Weeks singled to lead off, but Prince Fielder grounded into a double play. Casey McGehee doubled down the right field line and was pinch-run for by Ryan Braun, but Joe Inglett grounded out to end the game.

Barry Enright pitched six innings and allowed three hits, including a second- inning homer to Alcides Escobar, in the start for Arizona. Blaine Boyer (3-2) threw the ensuing two innings for the win, Arizona's fifth in six games. Brewers starter Manny Parra allowed four hits, walked six and fanned the same amount over 5 1/3 innings.

Injuries continue to plague the Milwaukee Brewers' lineup. Outfielders Corey Hart and Ryan Braun both missed their second straight games in the starting lineup last night against Arizona. Hart is suffering from a sore lower back, and Brown has a strained left wrist.
