In the Northwoods League playoffs, the Eau Claire Express tied the South Division series with a 4-1 victory over the Wisconsin Woodchucks in Wausau.
Ian Campbell gave up three hits in eight innings to get the win. Drew Freie homered for the Woodchucks. The third-and-deciding game of the series will be played tonight in Eau Claire at Carson Park.
The winner will play Rochester in the League Championship Series. Rochester advanced by sweeping Saint Cloud in the North Division series, two-games-to-none. The Honkers won last night’s contest 5-2 in 12 innings. Davy Wright hit a solo homer to score the deciding run.
