EDEN PRAIRIE - Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has reportedly told "Sports Illustrated" he had an injection in his surgically repaired left ankle. The 12-time Pro Bowler said that the lubricant he received during the Vikings' victory over Seattle on Saturday was to relieve pressure on the ankle.

Favre recently said he wasn't sure if his body will last the duration of his 20th NFL season.

The Vikings will wrap up preseason play against the Broncos on Thursday. The Vikings will practice today at the team's facility at Winter Park to put the finishing touches on the final game plan of the 2010 exhibition season. Head coach Brad Childress said yesterday that the amount of time the starters play in the Thursday preseason game against Denver would depend on how well they did in practice on Tuesday and Wednesday. Childress also said that his No. 2 quarterback is Tarvaris Jackson.
