Gophers open with Middle Tennesse St. tonight

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State play host to the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the 2010 season opener for both teams tonight at Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro.
Golden Gopher offensive tackle Jeff Wills begins his second consecutive season as the starter on the right side of the offensive line. He says the Golden Gophers will make a much concerted effort to run the football this season. Minnesota ranked last in the Big Ten last year in rushing yards. Wills says he has lost weight and is in great physical condition. Kickoff tonight is at 6:30 p.m.
Middle Tennessee State will be playing without starting quarterback Dwight Dasher who was suspended for allegedly accepting special benefits from an agent.
