MILWAUKEE - Philadelphia lefty Cole Hamels made one run stand up in a combined shutout of the Milwaukee Brewers, 1-0.

The lone run scored when center fielder Lorenzo Cain and left fielder Ryan Braun let a fly ball drop for a double. Shane Victorino eventually scored the winning run.

Hamels hasn't allowed a run in his last 18 innings on the mound. He gave up only three hits in seven innings. The Phillies have the best record in baseball since July 21st, winning 29 of 41 games and closing in on the Atlanta Braves. They trail by a single game in the National League East.
