Wild's Sheppard out indefintely after ATV accident

ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild center James Sheppard will be out indefinitely after suffering a fractured left patella.
The Wild announced Tuesday that the 22-year-old sustained the injury in an ATV accident in Vail, Colorado, on Saturday. Sheppard could miss up to four months of the season.
In his third full NHL season, Sheppard posted just two goals and four assists with a minus-14 in 64 games. He has 11 goals and 38 helpers over 224 career contests with the Wild, who selected him ninth overall in 2006.
