Brett Favre completed 15-of-27 passes for 171 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. The Vikes' scored all their points in the first half on a 41-yard field goal by ex-Packer Ryan Longwell, and a 20-yard touchdown pass from Favre to Visanthe Shiancoe. Longwell had the extra point blocked after that score. Vikings’ running back Adrian Peterson ran for 87 yards.
For New Orleans, Drew Brees threw for 237 yards and a touchdown. Pierre Thomas scored the winning TD on a one-yard plunge in the third quarter.
