MILWAUKEE - His early-season troubles behind him, Carlos Zambrano pitched like the dominant ace the Chicago Cubs expected him to be this year in a 4-0 blanking of Milwaukee.

Zambrano won for the fifth time in a row, carrying a three-hit shutout into the ninth. He not only pitched a three-hitter, the volatile Zambrano pounded out three hits of his own to best Dave Bush of the Brewers.

Milwaukee's best shot at Zambrano came in the second when he walked the first two batters. A double play ended that threat. The right-hander was suspended last June after a big argument in the Cub dugout.
