UW men's hoops hires new assistant coach
Wisconsin Sports- Akron's Lamont Paris has been hired by University of Wisconsin men's basketball head coach Bo Ryan to be the Badgers' new assistant coach.
MADISON - University of Wisconsin men's basketball coach Bo Ryan may hope to improve recruiting efforts in talent-rich Ohio with his latest hire.
The Badgers' newest assistant coach is Lamont Paris, who has been an assistant at Akron for the last six seasons. He replaces Howard Moore, the former UW player who was hired to be the new head coach at the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Paris was lead recruiter at Akron which won nearly 70 percent of its games while he was there. He recruited Ohio for the Zips but also has contacts in Chicago, Baltimore and Washington D.C.
