Plum City High School's football team dropped back a spot in the Wissport.net State High School Football Coaches' Poll, but only by one spot.

The Blue Devils are ranked No. 11 in Division 7, down from No. 10 the week before. The top three teams are in order: Gilman, Chippewa Falls McDonell and De Soto.

Here are the area league football stats involving Pierce County teams. You can see the full lists at www.wissports.net

- In the Dunn-St. Croix, Spring Valley's Kyle Bosshart is just behind Mondovi's Alex Wolf in rushing 498 yards to 428 for the season so far. Mondovi's Colin Laursen is third with 324 yards. Bosshart has 68 carries and four touchdowns. Boyceville's tough defense knocked back other Cardinal players like quarterback John Newton and wide receiver Ted Anderson in the statistical standings but SV's Steve Von Haden is third in the league in tackles with 29 and Bosshart has 22. Lauden Wood of St. Croix Central has a league leading 40 tackles. Mondovi's Cody Tomlinson has 235 yards receiving along with three TDs while SCC's Kyle Cress, whom the Cardinals will go up against Friday, is the D-SC's top passer with 435 yards on 42-of-86 completions and seven TDs.

- Prescott faces Somerset Friday who again has the Middle Border Conference's top back in Eric Walczak. He already has 500 yards rushing on 65 carries and seven touchdowns. Prescott's Mark Nahorniak burst into the top 10 of MBC running backs with a 234-performance at Amery and Ellsworth's Tanner Eggenberger is also in the top five. Eggenberger's teammate, sophomore Alex Campbell, leads the MBC in receptions with 251 on 14 catches along with a TD. That's eight more grabs than Baldwin-Woodville's Jake Keefer, the University of Wisconsin recruit. As a result, the Panthers' Bryce Stockwell is the league's top passer with over 400 yards and a near 50-percent completion rating. Keefer, however, does lead the league in tackles with 36 including a sack, a TFL and an interception.

- Elmwood's Jesse McKune remains the top back in the Lakeland South with 454 yards on 71 carries and seven TDs. Elmwood hosts Cornell Friday and McKune will square off against the No. 2 back Ethan Hrdlicka who has 333 yards on 52 carries and three touchdowns. The rest is all Plum City as Alex Gilles leads the league's QBs with nearly 500 yards passing and seven TDs while Tyler Churchill is the league's top receiver with 12 catches for 236 yards and five touchdowns. PC's Chase Luebker is third in receiving while Elmwood's Brian Tolonen is third in passing.
