Harvin misses Vikings' practice again as team readies for Dolphins
Minnesota Sports- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin did not practice on Thursday in preparation for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin did not practice on Thursday in preparation for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. The team is hopeful the second-year wide receiver will be able to practice on today, as he continues to recover from a hip injury. The explosive 22-year-old was held to one catch for 12 yards, one carry for two yards and 41 yards on two kickoff returns in the Vikings season-opening 14-9 loss to New Orleans last Thursday.
Kickoff for Sunday's game against the Dolphins is noon.The Vikings are putting the finishing touches on their gameplan for Sunday's home opener against the Miami Dolphins. The Vikings have won the last three games these two teams have played in the Metrodome with the most recent victory coming in 2001 by a 20-17 score. Miami beat Brad Childress and the Vikings in Florida in 2006 by a 24-20 count. Miami leads the series with six wins and four losses, dating back to 1972. The two teams met in Super Bowl VIII in Houston in 1973 and the Dolphins beat Minnesota 24-7.
