SAN FRANCISCO (Sports Network) - Jonathan Lucroy hit a two-run single in the fourth inning to back Yovani Gallardo's solid performance on the mound, as the Milwaukee Brewers took down the San Francisco Giants, 2-1, in the second test of a three-game series at AT&T Park.

Gallardo (13-7) gave up just one run on five hits over seven innings for the Brewers, who have won three in a row. The right-hander also struck out six and walked one.

Mike Fontenot drove in the lone run for San Francisco, which has lost the first two games of this series. Tim Lincecum (14-10) went five frames in the start, allowing two runs on six hits to have a three-start win streak snapped.

The Giants now trail San Diego by a half-game in the NL West standings. The Padres beat St. Louis on Saturday.

San Francisco stranded a runner on third in the third inning. Cody Ross led off with a single, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, and advanced to third on a groundout. Juan Uribe struck out to end the threat.

The Brewers scored the only two runs they would need in the fourth. Prince Fielder, Casey McGehee, and Carlos Gomez hit three straight singles to load the bases with one out. Lucroy hit a two-run base hit to right two batters later.
