MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Bucks will open their training camp a week from today. At the team’s charity golf outing yesterday, coach Scott Skiles said center Andrew Bogut will be fully ready.

Bogut’s last season ended early, when he crashed to the floor against Phoenix in April and injured his right hand-and-wrist. Meanwhile, Skiles says forward Corey Maggette will be brought along slowly. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle last spring, and the coach says Maggette is not quite ready yet.

The Bucks acquired the 30-year-old Maggette in a trade with Golden State that sent Charlie Bell and Dan Gadzuric to the Warriors. The Bucks will have formal practices for a week before playing their first exhibition game on October fifth at home against the Chicago Bulls.
