The Ellsworth High School girls tennis team has struggled this season. But one bright spot has been the play of its No. 3 doubles team.
Katie Kurrelmeyer and Jordan Olson won their third straight Middle Border Conference match Tuesday vs. Durand on the courts at Wayne Field.
Kurrelmeyer, a junior and Olson, a freshman, defeated Durand's Katie Lipke and Katie Carothers 6-4, 6-2. It was the only win for EHS in the dual meet.
Ellsworth wrapped up MBC play yesterday and take on Bloomer in a non-conference meet Thursday. This Saturday they play in a tournament in Cannon Falls, Minn.
