GREEN BAY - Green Bay Packers’ offensive tackle Chad Clifton might return to practice today, after a lingering knee injury forced him to leave last week’s game early.

Coach Mike McCarthy says the 34-year-old Clifton is making progress, and the coach is hopeful to have him back on the field either today or tomorrow.

If he can’t, rookie Bryan Bulaga might get the start for the Packers on Monday night at Chicago. McCarthy says it will be a game-time decision. Bulaga says he’ll be ready for anything.

Meanwhile, rookie defensive end Mike Neal could get his first regular season action on Monday night. He returned to practice yesterday, after being out since September 8th with a rib injury. Neal grew up about 40 miles southeast of Chicago, and he says there’s no way he’ll miss the Bear game.

Also, corner Brandon Underwood had his first full practice since August 26th, as he comes off an injured shoulder. Fullback Korey Hall remains out with a hip injury, and linebacker Brady Poppinga has a knee problem. They were the only two Packers who missed all of yesterday’s workout.

Three Bears missed their practice yesterday – linebacker Lance Briggs, safety Major Wright, and offensive tackle Chris Williams.
