Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Ryan Braun drove in three runs as the Milwaukee Brewers took a 6-2 win over the Florida Marlins in the continuation of a four-game set.
Rickie Weeks went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Brewers, who have won their past three. Mark Rogers made the first start of his career and over three innings walked two and struck out four, allowing no runs. Jeremy Jeffress (1-0) got the first win of his career for throwing two scoreless innings.
Osvaldo Martinez and Emilio Bonifacio each drove in a run for the Marlins, who lost for the second consecutive time following a three-game win streak. Andrew Miller (1-4) got the loss as he was charged with four runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings.
Milwaukee got on the board in the third. With one out, three consecutive batters reached base, and Braun followed with a two-run single to give the team a 2-0 lead.
Rogers loaded the bases in the first on a hit batter and a pair of walks, but struck out Gaby Sanchez and Chad Tracy to escape with no damage, then set Florida down in order over the next two innings before leaving the game.
Braun hit an RBI-double in the fifth and came home when Prince Fielder followed with a single for a 4-0 lead.
Martinez's RBI-single in the seventh plated Mike Stanton to cut Florida's deficit to 4-1.
Milwaukee, though, got that one back and another in the eighth as Joe Inglett's RBI triple was followed by a single from Weeks for a 6-1 lead.
