Adrian Peterson ran for 160 yards and two touchdowns, including a career-high 80-yard score in the third quarter. Brett Favre threw two interceptions, as he went 23-of-34 for 201 yards and a touchdown.
But it was enough for Minnesota to extend its home winning streak over the Lions to 13 games dating back to 1997. The Vikings moved into third place in the NFC North Division at 1-2.
Shaun Hill threw for 237 yards, a touchdown, and two fourth-quarter interceptions as the Lions took sole possession of last in the North at 0-3. They've lost 22 straight on the road, and they're at Green Bay next Sunday.
