MINNEAPOLIS - Defense was the emphasis yesterday from Timberwolves head coach Kurt Rambis as the Timberwolves opening training camp for 2010-11 season.
Number-four draft pick Wesley Johnson, who is hampered with a hamstring injury, was still held out of certain portions of practice. Johnny Flynn continues to improve after hip surgery in the offseason. Flynn, not participating in the camp, attended practice and was vocal at the sessions.
Also vocal at the camp was Kevin Love, who is coming off winning a gold medal at the World Championships. Michael Beasley didn't miss any action from an ailing wrist.
