EHS doubles team takes fourth at MBC tennis tourney
Ellsworth's No. 3 doubles team of Katie Kurrelmeyer and Jordyn Olson were the Panthers only winners at the Middle Border Conference tennis meet Tuesday.
NEW RICHMOND - Ellsworth's No. 3 doubles team of Katie Kurrelmeyer and Jordyn Olson were the Panthers' only winners at the Middle Border Conference tennis meet Tuesday.
Kurrelmeyer and Olson defated Tessa Schmidtknecht of Annah Gruber of Mondovi 6-3, 6-5 in the opneing round but lost in the both semifinals and third place match to finish fourth.
No other Ellsworth tennis player won their opening round match and thus the Panthers finished eighth with just two points. MBC champ won the meet with 38 points.
EHS plays Bloomer at home Thursday in a non-conference dual meet at Summit Park. The meet begins at 4:15 p.m.
