MEADOWLANDS, N.J. - Shonn Greene scored a touchdown with 4:30 remaining and Dwight Lowery sealed the victory with a 26-yard interception for a score, as the New York Jets held off the Minnesota Vikings, 29-20, for their fourth straight win.
Mark Sanchez completed 21-of-44 passes for 191 yards for the Jets (4-1), who got five field goals from Nick Folk in a game that was delayed 45 minutes at the start due to lightning.
Randy Moss, who was traded from New England to Minnesota last Wednesday, caught four passes for 81 yards and a touchdown for the Vikings (1-3), who were coming off a bye week.

Brett Favre hit two big career milestones and set an all-time NFL record for fumbles in last night's game. Favre connected on his 500th career touchdown when he found Randy Moss on a 37-yard scoring toss in the third quarter. He would later add two more scoring passes. Favre also surpassed 70-thousand career passing yards with his 264 yards in the game. He becomes the first player to ever reach either milestone. He also set the dubious record for most fumbles in a career by an NFL player, as he put the ball on the ground twice. He has now fumbled 162 times in his 20-year-career, one more than the previous record holder former Vikings quarterback Warren Moon.

Brett Favre reportedly apologized to his teammates during a team meeting at the team hotel prior to last night's game in New Jersey. Favre is under investigation by the NFL for possibly sending inappropriate text messages to a New York Jets female sideline reporter when both were employees of the team in 2008. Favre told his teammates he was sorry for any distraction the situation may have caused and he reportedly was in tears during the apology.
