ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild hit the ice tonight for their regular season home opener at the Xcel Energy Center. The Edmonton Oilers are the opponent.
The organization is throwing a pre-game party for fans at the St. Paul RiverCentre where Wild players will be introduced in a red carpet arrival beginning at 4:15 p.m. Minnesota is 8-0-1 in home openers, winning its last eight overall. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
Minnesota is 0-2 to start the season with both losses coming on neutral ice against the Hurricanes in Finland last week.
