OSCEOLA - Ellsworth won its first game over Osceola since 1999 at Vesperman Field Friday, routing the Chieftains 33-13.
EHS led 12-7 at halftime but score two quick touchdowns to take a commanding 26-7 lead. Alex Campbell had a 21-yard pick-six and Tanner Eggenberger scored on a one-yard TD run. Eggenberger added another one-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter.
Eggenberger rushed for 167 yards and had three TDs as EHS ended the playoff chances of the Chieftains.
Ellsworth, 2-6 overall and 2-4 in the Middle Border Conference will hope to close the season with a two-game winning streak as they host Prescott Thursday.
