WIAA State volleyball tourney begins Thursday
The girls’ state high school volleyball tournament begins this evening in Green Bay – and all four champions from last year are back to defend their titles.
GREEN BAY - The girls’ state high school volleyball tournament begins this evening in Green Bay – and all four champions from last year are back to defend their titles.
Division-One champ Muskego plays Milwaukee Pius in tonight’s quarter-finals. Eau Claire North faces Kaukauna. Madison La Follette takes on Fond du Lac. And Burlington goes against Menomonee Falls, which has the best record among the Division-One teams at 44-5.
Semi-finals will be played tomorrow in all four divisions, and the title matches will be played on Saturday. Defending Division-Two champion Waukesha Catholic Memorial is back, along with Division-Three champ Grantsburg, and D-4 titlist Chippewa Falls McDonell.
