MINNEAPOLIS - The Arizona Cardinals head north this weekend as they go up against the Minnesota Vikings at the Metrodome.
The Vikings fell to 2-and-5 with a 28-18 loss at New England. Quarterback Brett Favre was knocked out of the game late with a hard hit that required 10 stitches to his chin. Minnesota then released wide receiver Randy Moss two days later.
The Cardinals dropped to 3-and-4 with a 38-35 home loss to the Buccaneer last Sunday. Derek Anderson relieved starter Max Hall and rallied Arizona from a 31-14 deficit but threw a late pick that sealed the Cards' fate. Anderson is slated to start this weekend. Kickoff is Sunday at noon at the Metrodome.
When the Vikings host the Cardinals on Sunday, there are a few milestones within reach for a handful of people. If Minnesota wins, it would mark Brad Childress' 40th win as head coach. Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe needs 73 yards receiving to move into third place on the team's all-time tight ends receiving yards list. Adrian Peterson needs one touchdown to move into ninth place in NFL history for most rushing touchdowns in the first four years of a career.
