Milwaukee flight diverted to Memphis due to smoke in cabin
Officials with AirTran Airways say smoke and an odor led one of their jets to make an emergency landing in Memphis Saturday night.
MILWAUKEE - Officials with AirTran Airways say smoke and an odor led one of their jets to make an emergency landing in Memphis Saturday night.
The flight from New Orleans was headed to Milwaukee. Nobody was injured. The Boeing 717 made a safe landing after it was diverted to the west Tennessee airport.
Passengers from Flight 619 were put on another plane and they arrived in Milwaukee a little after midnight Sunday morning.
