Badger hoops now 2-0 after beating North Dakota
Wisconsin Sports-- The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team pounded North Dakota 85-53 last night in Madison. Fighting Sioux coach Brian Jones said the Badgers took advantage of his team’s lack of size and strength up-front. Wisconsin out-scored North Dakota 40-to-22 in the paint.

UW was up by 20 at the half and led by as much as 42 later on. Jon Leuer – who was named earlier yesterday to a watch list for the prestigious Naismith Award – had 22 points and seven assists for the Badgers.
Wisconsin shot 62-percent on the night, while holding North Dakota to just 38-percent. And the Badgers had a 30-to-19 edge on the boards. Milwaukee native Troy Huff led the Fighting Sioux with 21 points off the bench. He’s a freshman from Brookfield Academy.
North Dakota fell to 1-1 on the young season. Wisconsin is 2-0, and will play its first road game on Saturday night at Nevada-Las Vegas.
