Badgers tangle with No. 1 ranked UMD

The Wisconsin men’s hockey team will host top-ranked Minnesota-Duluth tonight and tomorrow.

MADISON - The Wisconsin men’s hockey team will host top-ranked Minnesota-Duluth tonight and tomorrow at the Kohl Center.

The Badgers are coming off a pair of losses to North Dakota last weekend – and they only scored once in eight power-play opportunities in their 4-2 loss to the Fighting Sioux last Saturday. Wisconsin is 3-3-2 in the WCHA and 6-4-2 overall. Minnesota-Duluth comes in at 6-1-1 in the conference and 9-1-2 overall.

Mike Connolly and Jack Connolly are not related, but they both lead the WCHA in scoring with 18 points so far.

Meanwhile, the top-ranked Badger women’s hockey team is in Pittsburgh for a pair of non-conference games against Robert Morris this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon.
