Monta Ellis added a double-double with 26 points and 10 assists while Stephen Curry finished with 20 points and seven assists for the Warriors, who snapped a five-game skid.
David Lee, who made his return to the Warriors after missing eight games with an elbow injury, added 10 points and six rebounds.
Michael Beasley led the Timberwolves with 28 points and Kevin Love filled the stat sheet with 21 points and 22 rebounds for Minnesota, which has dropped four straight.
Luke Ridnour added 16 points and Darko Milicic contributed nine points and seven rebounds in defeat.
Wright went 5-for-5 from beyond the arc in the third, helping Golden State outscore the Timberwolves by a 36-17 margin in the quarter. As a result, the Warriors took an 84-68 advantage to the fourth.
