SALT LAKE CUTY, Utah - The Milwaukee Bucks lost their ninth straight annual game at Utah last night, 109-88.

The short-handed Bucks were out-rebounded 48-to-26 – and the Jazz dominated the post with a 54-to-18 scoring edge in the paint.

Center Andrew Bogut did not make the trip due to his back spasms. Forwards Drew Gooden and Corey Maggette dressed, but did not play due to their lingering injuries. Despite that, the Bucks were only down by seven after the third quarter. But the Jazz opened the final period with an 11-0 run to win their sixth straight overall. They lead the NBA’s Northwest Division at 14-and-5. The Bucks fell to 6-11.

Deron Williams had 22 points and 10 assists for the Jazz, and Al Jefferson had 22 points and 11 rebounds. Bucks’ guard Brandon Jennings led all scorers with 27. Chris Douglas-Roberts, coming off an eye injury that kept him out for several weeks, scored 19.

Milwaukee’s next game is tomorrow night against the Nuggets in Denver.
