Bucks slide continues, lose to Nuggets

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Bucks have lost seven-of-their-last-eight games, after falling at Denver last night 105-94.
Milwaukee built up an 11-point lead in the first half, and was up by five at the break. The Nuggets led by five after the third quarter, and they started the final period with a 7-0 run to seal their victory. They led by as many as 16 near the end. Six Nuggets scored in double figures, led by Nene with 24. Carmelo Anthony had 14, and he was ejected in the third quarter after he got two quick technicals for arguing with the officials about a non-call. ]
Bucks’ coach Scott Skiles said his team didn’t spread the ball out as much in the second half. They had 15 assists before halftime, but only seven after that. And the Bucks were out-rebounded for the third straight game, 45-to-37. John Salmons led Milwaukee with 21 points. Rookie Larry Sanders had 14 points, 10 rebounds, and eight blocked shots in place of the injured Andrew Bogut. Corey Maggette and Drew Gooden returned from injuries. Maggette had 17 points in 22 minutes, and Gooden had four points in 10 minutes.
The Nuggets won their fifth straight. The Bucks dropped to 6-12, and they’ll host Orlando on Saturday night.
