UW men and women hockey teams sweep opponents
Wisconsin Sports-- The University of Wisconsin men's and women's hockey teams both got weekend sweeps of their WCHA opponents.
MADISON - Brooke Ammerman had her second hat trick of the season and Meghan Duggan led Wisconsin with five points as the women's hockey team completed the sweep of St. Cloud State Saturday, 6-1. Duggan scored a goal and had four assists as the Badgers improved to 16-2-0, including 12-2-0 in WCHA play. Sophomore Becca Ruegsegger got the win in goal. The Badgers dominated on the power plays, going 4-for-4 with a man advantage and holding the Huskies to 0-for-4. Wisconsin outshot St. Cloud State 45-16. Brianna Decker scored Wisconsin's other two goals.

Goalie Scott Gudmandson shut out Bemidji State as the Wisconsin men's hockey team swept the weekend series with a 2-0 win Saturday. Wisconsin's record is now 10-7-3, including 6-6-2 in the WCHA. Michael Mersch and Podge Turnbull scored Wisconsin's goals. Justin Schultz got his third assist of the series on Mersch's score in the first period.
