Ellsworth boys beat Durand 54-44

Ellsworth High School's boys' basketball team is off tho its first 2-0 start in over a decade as they crushed Durand 54-44 Tuesday.

DURAND - Ellsworth High School's boys' basketball team is off tho its first 2-0 start in over a decade as they crushed Durand 54-44 Tuesday.

The Panthers led their Highway 10 rivals 22-15 after the first quarter and scored a decisive 19 points in the fourth quarter. They also held Durand's leading scorer, Jake Weber, to just seven points.

Jimmy Miska led Ellsworth with 12 points. Teammate Riley O'Neil scored 11 and Travis Kroll finished with 10 points.

EHS will look to go 2-0 in the Middle Border Conference when they host Somerset Friday.
