Now may be the time for people interested in working as a park manager at a Wisconsin state park, trail or forest to get that dream job.
Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources say individuals interested in a position can take a park manager and natural resources property supervisor exam that will be offered on-line through Friday, Oct. 31, 2008.
“We’re seeking creative, service oriented individuals to join a team of professional employees dedicated to serving and protecting visitors to Wisconsin State parks, trails and forests,” said Jason Fritz, chief ranger for the DNR’s Bureau of Parks and Recreation.
“We are especially interested in individuals with diverse backgrounds who can communicate with a wide variety of customer groups, and are encouraging women and minorities to consider taking the exams,” he added.
The job announcements and exams may be accessed through the DNR Employment page of the DNR Web site (www.dnr.state.wi.us).
Information on job responsibilities and qualifications are also available on the employment page.
Results of the exams will be used to create a list of eligible candidates to fill a number of current vacancies as well as vacancies that may occur throughout the state during the next 12 months.
