GREEN BAY - Safety Nick Collins and linebacker Clay Matthews were back in full pads Thursday, as the Green Bay Packers kept practicing for Sunday’s home contest against the New York Giants.
Collins said he expects to play after getting a rib injury last Sunday night at New England. Matthews has been nursing an injured shin for most of the season. Defensive end Cullen Jenkins, linebacker Frank Zombo, and offensive lineman Marshall Newhouse were not seen at the portion of the practice that was open to reporters. Jenkins has been ruled out for the Giants’ game, while Zombo has a possibility of playing after he hurt a knee two weeks ago at Detroit.
It’s a must-win game for the Packers, who would be eliminated from playoff contention if they lost to the Giants.
