MADISON - The University of Wisconsin football team is took a breather on Christmas Eve. The Badgers held their final Madison practice Thursday and they leave today for Pasadena, for a week of more practice and festivities leading up to the Rose Bowl Game against TCU on New Year’s Day.

Head Coach Bret Bielema says everybody’s healthy. And he says everyone should be academically eligible for the game – even though he won’t know for sure until Wednesday. Bielema admits that some of the Badgers’ recent practices have suffered because players have been absent to take their final exams. But he’s confident that the team will regain its focus once it starts working out in Pasadena.

The first practice there is set for Monday. No. 3 TCU is still unbeaten while the No. 4 ranked Badgers are 11-1.
