LOS ANGELES - The University of Wisconsin football team will hold its first practice in southern California today, as it gets ready to play Texas Christian in Saturday’s Rose Bowl.
UW head coach Bret Bielema took the seniors aside last week, to have them remind the rest of the team that it’s a business trip. Quarterback Scott Tolzien gave that message to the players before they visited Disneyland yesterday. He said it was important for the players to spread the message – and some of the best teams are those which govern themselves. Senior safety Jay Valai said it okay to enjoy all the fun-and-pageantry, but the main goal is for the Badgers to beat the undefeated Horned Frogs.
Valai said it would be the toughest challenge of the year. Third-ranked TCU comes in at 12-0. The fourth-ranked Badgers are 11-1.
