Panthers win tourney game in Lake City

Ellsworth High School's boys basketball team won its first-ever game in the Lake City Holiday Tournament 61-51 Tuesday over Legacy Christian Academy.

LAKE CITY - Ellsworth High School's boys basketball team won its first-ever game in the Lake City Holiday Tournament 61-51 Tuesday over Legacy Christian Academy of Andover, Minn.

The Panthers were down by two points at halftime but outscored Legacy 33-21 in the second half.

Travis Kroll scored 17 points to lead EHS in scoring.

Ellsworth improves to 4-1 overall and will play in the championship game vs. Kasson-Mantorville, Minn. at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
