MILWAUKEE - Playing without three starters, the Dallas Mavericks weren't able to stop Earl Boykins and the Milwaukee Bucks. Boykins scored a season-high 26 points to lead the Bucks to a 99-87 win Saturday.
Dirk Nowitzki missed his third straight game and Shawn Marion was out with a thigh injury. When Caron Butler hurt his knee in the first quarter, the Mavericks had most of their scoring punch sidelined. John Salmons added 21 points for Milwaukee, while Ersan Ilyasova took down 17 rebounds.
The Bucks won the backboard battle, outrebounding Dallas 51-31 and outscoring the Mavericks in the paint, 50-24.
Boykins made 9-of-16 shots and handed out six assists. The 5-foot-5 guard is getting more minutes these days because starting point guard Brandon Jennings is injured.
