CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team dropped to 1-1 in the Big Ten, after losing at Illinois last night 69-61.
The 23rd-ranked Illini was up by three at the half. And they went up by 11 after the Badgers failed to score a field goal for over seven minutes in the second half. The 69 points were the most the Badgers gave up all season.
Demetri McCamey had 21 points for Illinois, which improved to 2-0 in the Big Ten and 12-3 overall. Jordan Taylor and Jon Leuer both scored 19 points for the Badgers, who fell to 11-3 overall. UW hosts Michigan on Wednesday.
