ELMWOOD - Elmwood High School's boys' basketball team climbed back to the .500 mark after trouncing Alma-Pepin Monday in a non-conference game 70-36.
Elmwood is now 4-4 overall and winners of its last two ballgames.
The contest was close in the first half but EHS outscored the Eagles, 3-4 overall, 27-6 in the third quarter after knocking down several three-point shots.
Josh Pax led the Raiders with 19 points, Christian Fredrickson scored 12 points for Elmwood and teammate Seth Jones had nine points.
Elmwood hosts a key Dunn-St. Croix contest Friday vs. Colfax. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
