MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota women's hockey team shutout Minnesota State 4-0 Friday at Ridder Arena.
The Gophers dominated the Mavericks, outshooting them 39-18 and going 2-for-5 on power play opportunities while MSU was 0-for-5.
Scoring goals for the Golden Gophers were Sarah Davis, Sarah Erickson, Amanda Kessel and Laura May. Goalie Noora Raty made 18 saves.
The U improves to 14-6 overall and 9-6 in the WCHA. Minnesota State is 6-12-3 overall and 5-9-1 in the league.
