Gopher women's hockey team wins 5-1 over Mavericks
Minnesota Sports-- Lauren May scored two goals and Amanda Kessel and Jen Schoullis had a goal and assist each to lead University of Minnesota women's hockey team to a 5-1 win over Minnesota State Saturday at Ridder Arena.
MINNEAPOLIS - Lauren May scored two goals and Amanda Kessel and Jen Schoullis had a goal and assist each to lead University of Minnesota women's hockey team to a 5-1 win over Minnesota State Saturday at Ridder Arena.
May's two goals game in the second period and pushed the U's lead from 2-1 to 4-1.
The Golden Gophers outscored the Mavericks 9-1 during the weekend series and improve to 15-6 overall and 10-6 in the WCHA.
Minnesota goalie Noora Raty made 33 saves.
